The Bunghole is a short walk for Holborn Tube Station, and is one of our traditionally styled Wine Bars with candle lit tables and sawdust covered floors.

We offer a Grill Room Menu with traditional English fayre daily, with a selection of hot and cold bar snacks available throughout the day.

The Bunghole serves a varied selection of Davy’s Own Label Wines and an extensive wine list dating back to the late 1970's, alternatively you may prefer a pint of traditionally served Davy’s Old Wallop, which can be purchased in a pewter tankard or a copper ½ gallon jug.

We also offer additional fine wines from the Cellar.

The Bunghole is an amazingly versatile venue, offering a choice of formal or informal dining, event evenings, private dining rooms or even just a quiet drink. Large parties can be catered for at lunchtime, evening or other times.

Vintage Ports are decanted daily and available by the glass or bottle.

The name “Bunghole” is derived from the hole in the side of a wine cask in which the bung is put.
