1882 saw the Antonio Allones factory, which had been producing Havana cigars since 1848, launch a brand of premium quality and price. With great confidence but little modesty it was named 'El Rey del Mundo' - The King of the World. World renowned for its light/medium flavour and substance, an ideal cigar for the novice smoker or for a daytime smoke.

Possibly the best known Havana brand, Romeo y Julieta named after William Shakespeare’s famous lovers dates from 1875.  Founded by Alvarez y Garcia it was not until 1903 when ‘Pepin’ Fernandez Rodriguez, the factory manager, acquired the business.

Herman decided to put his signature on each box when labelling was introduced during the 1860's, a tradition maintained until this day. Providing a smooth smoke with a subtle light/mild flavour, it is an ideal cigar for those new to Havana's, or a delightful smoke for the regular smoker.

Montecristo's disctinctive flavour delighted cigar smokers so much that it has reigned as the most popular Havana for nearly three decades. Simon Bolivar was one of the great historic characters of the 19th Century liberating much of South America from Spanish rule. In 1901, seventy years after his death, the Rocha Company commemorated him on their cigars. It is perhaps not surprising that a brand named after such a powerful figure is blended to match his might. Bolivar are amongst the strongest, most full bodied of all Havana's, boasting unrivalled richness of flavour. Robust and earthy, definitely not for the uninitiated.

Open widens the choice of vitolas (size) available to present Montecristo fans and to welcome a new generation of 21st century smokers. The Open vitolas are made with tobacco leaves selected from some of the best vegas in the Vuelta Abajo tobacco region.

San Cristobal de la Habana was the original name given to Havana, Cuba's capital city, in 1519. It was named in honour of Columbus and La Habana after an Indian name for the site. This is the latest marque to be launched. An interesting rich medium bodied smoke that can provide a surprising strength when finished.
