In the words of Martin Everett (Master of wine) this is a wine maker's year, one where painstaking management in the vineyard combined with expertise and technical skill in the cellars, plus more than a little luck, were called into play with a vengeance. Now that the wines have settled down and are ready for tasting the overwhelming sentiment amongst the growers seems to be, 'all's well that ends well' and their sense of relief is tangible.
