Chassagne Montrachet 1er Caillerets Jean Marc Morey 2003

Jean Marc Morey started producing his own wines in 1981 when his father Albert passed 8 ha of vineyards down to him.  He has committed himself to producing traditional styles of wines and focussing on the ‘terroir’ of each plot and is subsequently one of the most impressive and distinguished producers in the region.

A rich golden Chardonnay full of ripe generous peach and apricot fruit flavours.  The palate is showing well defined vanilla toasty notes whilst still retaining a freshness.  This wine is right at its peak, drinking wonderfully now.  There is limited stock of this and at this price it won’t hang around for long.
