The Tapster is situated a short walk from St James’ Park Tube Station and is one of our Traditional styled basement Wine Bars with a rustic charm day or night, candlelit tables and background jazz in the evenings.

A traditional English Fayre is served in our dining room all day, together with a fine selection of sandwiches and sharers available at the bar.  A special feature is our rare authentic Spanish carved Iberico ham served with speciality bread or alongside other Spanish cured meats to share.

The Tapster has an excellent range of Davy’s Own Label quality House Wines available by the bottle and glass. Vintage Ports are also decanted daily and available by bottle and glass and we also offer additional fine wines for pre-order.

The Tapster is a superb venue to book for any private function, alternatively you may wish to join in one of our organised events from a Quiz Night to a Wine Tasting.

A Tapster is one who “taps” the wine from the cask - therefore in todays terminology this would be a Barmaid or Barman.
