The Tapster is situated a short walk from St James’ Park Tube Station, and is one of our Traditional styled Wine Bars with candle lit tables.

A traditional English Fayre is served in our dining room with a wide selection of bar snacks and starter plates available from the bar from 12 midday to close.

The Tapster has an excellent range of Davy’s Own Label quality House Wines available by the bottle and glass. Vintage Ports are also decanted daily and available by bottle and glass.

We also offer additional fine wines from the Cellar.

The Tapster is a superb venue to book for any private function, or alternatively you may wish to join in one of our organised events from a Quiz Night to a Wine Tasting.

A Tapster is one who “taps” the wine from the cask - therefore in todays terminology this would be a Barmaid or Barman.
