March 1986 was a big month. Diana Ross was top of the pops with her Chain Reaction; The Sun told us that Freddie Starr had eaten a hamster; Buckingham Palace announced the engagement of Prince Andrew to Sarah Ferguson – and The Habit opened at Friary Court, Tower Hill.
30 years later, The Habit remains ever-popular for its fantastic wine list, hearty British fayre and relaxed atmosphere.
To celebrate its first three decades, The Habit will be serving up a special birthday menu with a complimentary glass of Champagne, from Monday 7th – Friday 11th March. It’s available for lunch and dinner and two courses are £15.95 and three courses only £19.95.
Look out for dishes from the very first menu like steamed steak and kidney pudding with onion gravy; and firm favourites such as treacle tart.
We’re also offering some of our favourite magnums at bottle prices (while stocks last) and a half-gallon jug of our classic ale, Old Wallop, for only £10.
