Top terraces

When the sun is shining, it is good to know where to go for a chilled glass of wine and some light, summery food.  We have picked some of our best outdoor spots where you can hide away, watch the world go by, take in the views or throw a summer party…

Just a short stroll from The British Museum, the terrace at Truckles of Pied Bull Yard is always popular when the sun comes out.

More Bar has beautiful views of The Shard and Tower Bridge and is vibrant and bustling – an ideal spot to bask in the summer sun.

Rush hour at Liverpool Street might be painful sometimes so avoid the crush and take a seat on the sunny terrace at Salt Point, Exchange Square.

Pop into the Heeltap, close to London Bridge, and take a pew in the cobbled courtyard – open all weekend.

Visit the Boot and Flogger close to Borough Market for a tranquil spell in the hidden rear courtyard.

The terrace at Davy’s of Woolgate is a popular meeting place in the heart of the City.

Davy’s at Plantation Place has a petite patio so please reserve in advance if you are looking for a spot in EC3 for al fresco drinking or dining.

Bag a seat at the Crusting Pipe in Covent Garden and watch live operatic performances.  The terrace is covered so it is a super spot, rain or shine.

Davy’s at Canary Wharf provides tranquil waterside seating, if there’s a chill in the air, we can pop the heaters on!

You’ll find plenty of outside space at Davy’s Wine Vaults Greenwich – open seven days a week.
