E-Gift Vouchers and Experiences
Once activated, the value on a Davy’s Group E-gift voucher can be used as full or part payment at any Davy’s Wine Bar and Wine Shop.
The monies on an e-gift voucher cannot be exchanged for cash. No change or refund will be given but remaining balances will remain for future redemption. All monies on the E-gift voucher must be used by the expiry date which is 12 months from the date of purchase. Any remaining balance will be deducted on expiry.
E-gift voucher balances can be checked at any Davy’s Wine Bar, Wine Shop or emailing info@davy.co.uk
Davy’s reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time or withdraw the E-gift voucher with reasonable notice. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Alcohol & Responsible Alcohol Service
Alcoholic beverages can only be sold and served to persons aged 18 or over. Challenge 25 scheme is in operation, that encourages anyone who is over 18 but looks under 25 to carry acceptable ID when they want to buy alcohol.
Challenge 25 is a campaign introduced by the British Beer and Pub Association in 2005. It’s now run by the Retail of Alcohol Standards Group, which represents alcohol retailers.

Acceptable forms of ID to prove you are over 18 include:
• A photo driving license
• A passport
• A proof of age card, such as the PASS card from the National Proof of Age Standards scheme.
It’s a criminal offence to use false or borrowed ID to gain entry to licensed premises or to buy alcohol.
The maximum penalty is a £5,000 find and up to 10 years in prison.
To fully enjoy your wines, we recommend drinking in moderation. All still wines offered by the glass are also available in a 125ml measure. 25ml measures of all spirits available on request. Vintage and ABV’s are subject to alteration. We promote the responsible consumption of alcohol and reserve the right to restrict or refuse service to any guest we believe to be at risk of intoxication.
Food and Drink
All prices include VAT. A discretionary 12.5% service charge will be added to your bill. If you require any information regarding allergens, please ask a member of our team.
Tobacco
It is illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under the age of 18 and we have the right to refuse sale.
Personal Belongings
The wine bars are unable to accept responsibility for lost or stolen items. Please guard against the loss of handbags, coats and other personal belongings.
Booking Policy
Booking Deposit Terms for Parties of Five or Fewer – (Christmas Period only. From November 17th – December 31st)
To confirm your booking, we kindly require a deposit of £10 per person for drinks parties and £20 per person for sit down meals. We offer a full refund for cancellations made with more than 48 hours’ notice. For cancellations within 48 hours of the event, we reserve the right to retain all or part of the deposit.
Booking Deposit Terms for Parties of Six or More
- To confirm your booking, we require a deposit of £10 per person for drinks parties and £20 per person for sit down meals. By paying the deposit, you are accepting our booking terms and conditions.
- Provisional bookings cannot be guaranteed and will be held for a maximum of 5 days, unless agreed. While we will make every effort to contact you for confirmation if we receive another enquiry for the same time, we reserve the right to release unconfirmed bookings without notice.
- For cancellations or changes made with more than five days’ notice, we will refund the deposit in full. For cancellations made within five days of the event, we reserve the right to retain all or part of the deposit.
- If your booking includes a minimum spend, any shortfall will be charged on the day of your event.
- Final guest numbers and any changes to pre-ordered items must be confirmed at least 48 hours in advance. In the event of no-shows for dining tables or a significant drop in attendees at drinks parties, we reserve the right to retain part of the deposit to cover incurred costs.
Private Hire Bookings – Minimum Spend Terms
- To confirm your booking, we require a deposit equal to 50% of the agreed minimum spend.
- Provisional bookings cannot be guaranteed. If another enquiry is received for the same date, we will make every effort to contact you, but we reserve the right to release the space if confirmation has not been received.
- For cancellations made more than 21 days in advance, we will refund your deposit in full. For cancellations with less than 21 days’ notice, we reserve the right to retain the deposit.
- If the agreed minimum spend is not met, the outstanding balance will be payable on the day of the event.
- Final guest numbers and any changes to pre-ordered items must be confirmed no later than 7 days before your event. Significant reductions in guest numbers or uncommunicated changes may result in part or all of the deposit being withheld to cover costs.
- A hire fee will be agreed in advance. Please note, a private hire may require licensed door personnel and, if applicable, a late licence fee, these costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
Terms and Conditions for All Bookings
Deposits and Payments
- All deposits will be deducted from your final bill on the day of your booking, unless
otherwise agreed in advance with the Wine Bar Manager.
If a deposit is not redeemed against your bill, it will be refunded to the original payment method only. Refunds are processed by our central accounts team and may take up to 7 working days.
- All outstanding balances must be settled on the day of the event unless account facilities have been formally approved in advance.
Account Facilities
- Requests for account facilities must be made at least 30 days prior to your event.
- Company information will be required for validation and credit checks before approval.
- We reserve the right to refuse account facilities and to cancel the booking without notice if, prior to the event, there is any material change in your financial standing that may affect your ability to fulfil the payment obligations.
Pre-Orders and Guest Information
- Final menu selections, dietary requirements, and confirmed guest numbers must be provided at least 10 days before your event.
- We cannot guarantee the availability of any items requested with less than 10 days’ notice.
Timings and Venue Access
- Guests are asked to vacate the hired area at the agreed time.
- Lunch bookings must vacate by 4pm unless a later time has been agreed in writing with the Manager.
- Additional hire fees may apply if the space is not vacated as agreed.
Third Party Suppliers
- If your booking is managed by a third-party company providing entertainment, decorations, or other services, valid insurance documentation must be submitted at least 48 hours before the event.
- If your enquiry is handed over to a third-party agent, we reserve the right to charge additional fees to cover any commission costs.
Damage and Liability
- You are liable for any damage caused by you or your guests during the event, including any resulting loss of earnings. We reserve the right to withhold all or part of the deposit in such cases.
- If you plan to decorate or dress the venue, you must request written permission from the Manager in advance and use appropriate fixtures. Any damage caused may result in the deposit being retained.
Limitation of Liability
- Our total liability is limited to the total charges paid or payable under this booking.
- We accept no responsibility for loss, damage or injury to personal property belonging to you, your guests, or associated third parties.
- We are not liable for delays or failure to deliver services due to events beyond our reasonable control. These may include (but are not limited to) industrial action, terrorism, fire, or severe weather.
Health & Safety and Access
- You must not obstruct fire exits or designated escape routes.
- You agree not to take any action that contravenes statutory health and safety regulations or increases the risk of fire or harm to others on the premises.
Food and Drink
- Only food supplied by the venue may be consumed on the premises unless prior written permission has been granted by the Manager.
- Only beverages authorised by the wine bar, or the manager may be consumed on site. Non permitted alcohol maybe confiscated or a charge at the Wine bars prices will be added to the bill.
- If you wish to serve wines not listed on the wine bar menu, we can arrange delivery from our wider wine merchant selection. Corkage charges will apply and will be agreed in advance on the most favourable terms.
Availability and Substitutions
- All wines, beers, spirits, and other consumables are subject to availability. We reserve the right to provide suitable alternatives at the event without prior notice if necessary.

- BACS transfer (advance payments only – funds must clear before the event date)
Service Charge and VAT
- A discretionary service charge of 12.5% will be added to your final bill.
- All prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate. Please note, no VAT is charged on deposits.
